I know this may not seem that momentous to most but I had to get approval from the surgeon that treated me following my crash at Wairarapa last year and from the motorsport medical assessor so it was by no means a certainty. My wife is not over the moon about it but she has known me a very long time and accepts the fact I am a bit stupid.
So now I have a car, licence and just need a hans type device and matching helmet - hey it's only money. Not sure when I will be out again as the car does need a few little jobs done and I will probably wait until mid june because we have the holiday to Samoa we missed last year due to me being not allowed to do anything more strenuous than stand up for a month. If I did anything to mess it up this time Alison would hurt me far worse than any possible injury I might incur.

If we didn't spend it on cars we'd only find something else to throw it at. Razz

Great news Ross. No more washing your helmets with the rinse cycle.

Al, I suspect I will be looking for a navigator called Miss Daisy I'll be so slow. My last one bought a rally car a week after I inverted him and said he would never get back in the left hand seat again, but someone else had already crashed his side into a tree at a hillclimb a couple of months earlier.

And well done on the row of trophies.
