Hope to see you there. *Wednesday 8 September - round 5 of this year's night trials series. Organisers are Cathy & Mike Reid (Hutt Valley Motorsport Club). Start and finish at Hutt Valley Motorsport Club rooms, Halford Place (eastern end of Jackson Street), Petone. Documentation from 7pm, first car away at 7:30pm. Entry fee $15 per car. Duration about 90 minutes. Relax over a tea or coffee afterwards. Class placings published to let you compare your performance with others of similar experience.* ** By my calculations (awaiting the official word from the Wellington Motor Sport Association pointskeeper), it is still tight at the top of the points table after 4 rounds. Mike & Cathy Reid are one point ahead of Wayne Gair & Dianne McDonald, who are one point ahead of Sue & Gordon & Denise Gandy, with me one point behind them, closely followed by Mark & Dave Jennings. ** Later rounds this year: Round 6 (final round) - Paraparaumu & environs, organisers the Jennings family (Kapiti Car Club). This event has to be postponed from the scheduled date of 13 October. Provisional new date is one week later, Wednesday 20 October.
